Sports and games help to develop a culture of physical well-being and positive mental health.Keeping this in view our college provides good infrastructure facilities for Sports and Games.The facilities in the institution include 2 Basketball courts, Throwball cum Volleyball court, Playground equipment and athletic facilities.Sports Day and extramural tournament is organized for our students every year.

The Annual Sports Day was conducted on 15th February 2023 at Nehru Stadium, Kottayam and at College ground. Susan Koshy, the sports secretary gave the instructions for the day.The events conducted were:
Ms. Susan Koshy of II Year B.Ed. Natural Science (Frobellians) was declared as the Individual Champion of the Sports Meet with 20 points. The overall championship for the Sports and Games was bagged by Frobellian’s group with 40 points and Runner Up by Parkhust’s group with 35 points.

Ms. Sreedevi G.R. of II Year B.Ed. Natural Science and Ms. Anjali Scaria of I Year B.Ed. Physical Science secured Third Place in the All Kerala Inter training College Shuttle Badminton Tournament on 31stMarch 2023 organized by St. Joseph’s Training College, Mannanam.

Aleena Elias of Platonian group was crowned as the Individual Champion with 13 points and the group championship was awarded to Parkhurst with 27 points and runner up was Platonians with 23 points.

The Sports Meet was conducted on 2nd March 2020under the guidance of Dr. Suma Joseph and the Sports Club Secretary Ms. Meenukutty K. S.The Principal, Dr. Pushpa Marian, received the parade salute and flagged off the events.
The events conducted were:
Allena Eliaz of Platonians bagged individual championship with 17 points. Frobellians bagged First prize for March Past with 22 points and the runner up being Montessorians with 20 points. Overall championship was bagged by Montessorians with 48 points and runner up group was Frobellians with 43 points.

The sports meet was conducted on 15th February 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Suma Joseph. Anju Vijayan, the sports secretary gave the instructions for the day. The parade salute was received by Dr. Pushpa Marian, Principal and Dr. T.C. Thankachan, Assistant Professor, St. Thomas College of Teacher Education, Palai. Following the parade, different competitions were conducted.

Ms. Anju Santhosh of II Year B.Ed. Natural Science was crowned as the individual champion with 22 points. The Overall Group championship was awarded to Montessorians with 65 points and runner up was bagged by Platonians with 34 points.

The College Arts Fest 2022-2023 was conducted on 9th March 2023 at college auditorium and general lecture hall. Nineteen variety items were put forward and all students from their respective cultural groups participated in the On Stage and Off-Stage events.
Events of 2022-2023 Conducted were: Poem Recitation (Malayalam), Poem Recitation (English), Extempore (Malayalam), Extempore (English), Light Music,Western Music, Group Song, Pair Dance, Group Dance, Mehendi Designing, Hair Styling, Pencil Drawing, Painting Competition, Poetry Writing (Malayalam), Poetry Writing (English), Essay Writing (English), Essay Writing (Malayalam), Short Story (English) and Short Story (Malayalam).
The Kalathilakam for the Arts Fest 2022-2023 was Ms. Bency Benedict of I Year B.Ed. English Optional, of Montessorian group. Regarding the score level in cultural events of various B.Ed. and M.Ed. groups, the Montessorians were the overall champions with 78 points, and the Froebelians were the Runner Up with 49 points. The score level of the other groups were Parkhursts (46 points), Platonians (38 points) and Gandhians (11 points).

The College Arts Fest ‘Kalosmi’ was celebrated on 19thJuly 2022 at Mount Carmel College Auditorium with offstage events like Pencil Drawing, Painting, Poetry Writing (English), Poetry Writing (Malayalam), Essay Writing (English), Vegetable Carving, Flower Arrangement and Hair Dressing.
On stage events conducted were: 1. Poem Recitation (Malayalam) 2. Extempore Speech (Malayalam) 3. Light Music 4. Group Song 5. Group Dance 6. Pair Dance. The Kalathilakom for the Arts Fest 2021-2022 was Ms. Renu Raju (M.Ed. Student), of Gandhian group with 10 points. Regarding the score level in cultural events of various B.Ed. and M.Ed. groups, the Gandhians were the overall champions with 40 points, and the Platonians were the Runner Up with 38 points. The score level of the other groups were Montessorians (27 points), Parkhursts (25 points) and Froebelians (18 points).

Art Fest ‘ZRISHTI 21’ was celebrated on 19thMarch 2021 at Mount Carmel College Auditorium, with variety events.Off-stage and On stage events included Poetry Writing (English), Poetry Writing (Malayalam), Short Story Writing (Malayalam), Short Story Writing (English), Pencil Drawing, Poster Painting, Western Music Solo, Light Music Solo, Semi Classical Dance, Split Dance, Spot Choreography, Fancy Dress, Extempore (English), Extempore (Malayalam), Poetry Recitation (English), Poetry Recitation (Malayalam) and Poetry Recitation (Hindi). Parkhust won the overall championship with 56 points and Platonians the runner up with 55 points. Kavyapriya B. II Year Physical Science was declared the Kalathilakam of Arts Fest with 30 points.

The Arts fest was named as “Samaiyya 2020”. The competitions began with the ceremony inaugurated by the Principal.
The offstage events were held from 2ndto 7thJanuary 2020.This included Poetry English, Poetry Malayalam, Pencil Drawing, Cartoon Drawing, Essay Writing (English), Flash Fiction English, Flash Fiction Malayalam, Essay Writing Malayalam, Water Colour, Short Story English, Poster Making, Short Story Malayalam and Film Review. It gave a good opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and literary skills. The onstage events were held from 28thJanuary to 30thJanuary. The stage events included the following items: Classical Music, Light Music, Mime, Curriculum Music, Spot Choreography, Extempore (English), Extempore (Malayalam), Recitation (English), Recitation (Malayalam), Recitation (Hindi), Hair Style, Flower Arrangement, Nil Art, Dubsmash, Fashion Show, Split Screen, Best Pair, Nadanpattu, Fancy Dress, Zumba and Ms. Carmelite.
The Kalathilakom for the Arts Fest 2019-2020 was Ms. Gilu Anna Johny II Year B.Ed. Student with 42 points. Regarding the score level in cultural events the Parkhurstswere the overall champions with 124 points, and theMontessorians were the Runner Up with 109 points. The score level of the other groups were Platonians (88 points)and Froebelians (76 points).

The offstage events were held before and on 13thDecember 2018 and this included Cartoon Competition, Pencil Drawing, Short Story Writing (English), Short Story Writing (Malayalam), Essay Writing (English),Essay Writing (Malayalam), Poetry Writing(English)Poetry Writing (Malayalam), Short Story (Malayalam), Caption Writing, Hir Style Competition, Water Colour Competition and Mehendi Competition. This was a wonderful opportunity in polishing the creative and artistic abilities within each student. The 7th and 8th of February 2019 were exclusively dedicated for the onstage events like Extempore (English), Extempore (Malayalam), Recitation (English), Recitation (Malayalam), Light Music, Classical Music, Instrumental Music, Mappilapattu, Monoact, Vegetable Carving, Mimicry, Kathaprasangam, Monjathi, Fancy Dress, Nazrani manka, Purushakesari, Fashion show with newspaper, Spot choreography, Flower arrangement, Cinematic Dance, Split screen and Kitchen music.
Aleena S. George of IIYear Physical Science was titled as the Kalathilakom and the overall championship was bagged by Montessorians. In accordance with the Christmas celebrations, Carol, Crib and Santa Claus competitions were held within the college auditorium on 17thDec 2018. Students actively participated in the events with great enthusiasm and spirit.
Other than Arts Fest, every year the College conducts all the celebrations of festivals and days of national importance. The students during the respective year actively participated in all the cultural events associated with fresher’s day, talents day, celebrations of festivals and days of National importance.
