| 1953 | Mt. Carmel Training College was established on Ist June 1953 by the congregation of the Carmelite sisters of St.Teresa. |
| 1955 | The two storied Mount Carmel Training College Block was inaugurated |
| 1956 | The college secured the first rank for the B.Ed degree Examination in 1956. |
| 1962 | Laid foundation of the UGC aided college hostel |
| 1963 | The college hostel started functioning. |
| 1965 | The college auditorium was opened by Prof. Samuel Mathew, Vice-chancellor, University of Kerala. |
| 1972 | Inauguration of the new library block. Ist rank for the B.Ed degree Exam in 1972. |
