Mount Carmel College of Teacher Education for Women came in to existence on 17th June 1953. In 2006, it was raised to the status of a P.G. Centre with 25 students undergoing the M.Ed Programme from 2011 onwards; the intake of M.Ed students has been raised to 50. The Institution focuses on four key dimensions, understand educational theories, applying practical methods, conducting research, and engaging with the community. M.Ed Library serves a vital role in assisting the academic Endeavour’s of students, research scholars and faculty. The Library equipped with theses, synopsis, journals, books, online databases, e-books, e-journals and other digital resources. It provides enough space for individual study and area for group discussions. According to the needs of the users the Library takes utmost care for providing resources and the extending valuable referral and reference services.
